This Week’s Open Thread Asks, ‘Did You Take a Summer Vacation?’

As we do every Friday, we're turning Racket over to you, our readers.

As I write this, Jay is flying on an airplane back from Iceland. Em is in Boston. I have been to New Jersey and (though this was technically for "work") to Chicago.

In short, each of us has taken a traditional "summer vacation" here at Racket except for Jessica, who took time off in springtime instead.

So for this week's Open Thread, let me ask: How about you? Gone anywhere fun? Gone anywhere not fun? Had fun sticking around close to home? Recall any fun (or not fun) vacations of yore? Somehow ideologically opposed to the concept of vacations?

As always, feel free to ignore this prompt and talk about whatever you want. This is your Open Thread, after all.
