Let’s Talk WFH in This Week’s Open Thread

As we do every Friday, we're turning Racket over to you, the readers.

When Racket started up five years ago, we agreed it wouldn't make sense to open an office for two good reasons:

  1. The world was still very much pandemic'd.
  2. We had no money.

Since then, we have begun renting a small space in St. Louis Park for podcasting and storage, but it's not really a workspace. When we meet as a crew, we settle into a lunch spot for a spell.

Since I moved back to The Wedge, I've adopted a comfortable routine. I've become a regular coffee-shop attendee in the morning—thanks to the folks at Disco Death and Unwind Coffee for taking good care of me. Then I head home from lunch, nap for a bit, and finish up the day working from couch in a manner that would appall my doctor and displeases my aging frame. (In my defense, my office space is filled with excess furniture I need to unload after my last move. If you need a used end table or three, hit me up.)

How about you? If you do work from home, even occasionally, what's your routine? Do you go to coffee shops or co-working spaces? Do you have a well-maintained home office? Alternately, do you want to complain about your employer's work-from-home policy?

As always, feel free to ignore this prompt and talk about whatever you want. This is your Open Thread, after all.
